The Coach House holiday cottage is a peaceful retreat in south west Scotland and has an abundance of wildlife including red squirrels, badgers, and roe deer which amble past in the early hours.
The holiday cottage has self catering facilities of a high standard, with oil fired central heating throughout. It is only a few minutes walk from the beautiful Sandyhills beach on the Colvend Coast.
The area is ideal for families, walkers and cyclists (Dalbeattie Forest with miles of excellent walking routes and cycle paths is only 800 yards away). Bird watchers will enjoy Mersehead Nature Reserve at Southerness, which covers a wide range of farmland, wet meadows, salt marsh and mudflats. For golfers, the Colvend 18 hole Golf Course is only 250 yards away and there are many other golfing options along the Colvend coastline.
There are various restaurants and eating places nearby from traditional scottish cuisine at the Barons Craig hotel to pub grub at the Anchor in Kippford. Most places welcome children.
All bed linen is supplied. Please bring your own bath towels.

The Accommodation
Ground Floor
- Entrance hall, downstairs bathroom with shower in bath.
- Large bright living room with views into the garden. Television, stereo, and a selection of books for all ages.
- Newly fitted kitchen with country views fitted with electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and washer dryer. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary eating and cooking utensils.
- Separate dining area.
First floor
- Two bedrooms one with a double bed and a single, the other has three single beds. Both rooms have double glazed velux windows which make the rooms lovely and bright, and at night time you can watch the stars.
Outside
- Private drive to the Coach House with ample parking. Shed containing outside furniture and two children's bicycles for ages 7 to 11. The garden is secluded and completely tranquil with mature flower beds and well tended lawns.
